REGION 11 BLUE MOUNTAIN This area is north of White Pines Region (#7) and just South of Blue Mountain. You will have to read map carefully as it includes all the mountain roads and trails north of White Pines, Meadowmont, and Lakemont Pines, to east boundary of Regions 12 & 13. Summit Level Road can be reached from Highway 4 across from Camp Connell or from behind White Pines. Many areas branch off this Road and there are some open areas along the road. This road leads into Swiss Ranch Road but it is a typical Forest Service Road and may not be accessible in winter. (Swiss Ranch Road is in region 12.) Many areas will not be accessible except by hiking or cross country skiing and 4-wheel drive. If enough participants are available this region could be divided into two or three parties for some hearty hikers. Drive and stop at all sunny areas (if there is sun.)
