REGION 5 PENNSYLVANIA GULCH Start at Highway 4 just west of Utica Power House Dam including the Dam road just west of Utica Power House Dam. Try to get the key for the gate from UPUD. All birds on and over the Dam are region 5. Go down Highway 4 to Douglas Flat, the circle boundary. Take all the roads and trails "South" of Highway 4 including Pennsylvania Gulch Rd, Skunk Ranch Road, Ponderosa Way and all roads, trails branching off up to but not including Camp Nine Road. (Take Pennsylvania Gulch Rd to where it ends at a creek or to were the forest is so thick you do not feel it is worth it.) Note boundaries on the map as they are drawn basically where the road/trail ends. This is a good walking area especially along the creek along Skunk Ranch Road and some of the residential areas. If you have two parties to cover this area you can spend more time walking and standing to cover more area, otherwise you will have to drive more.
